He scored very well when taking the testing, and I think the Maxskill test prep helped him achieve the scores he got. As a matter of fact, we were impressed enough with the website that I ordered the next grade level for the testing my son will be taking when he enters the public school this fall (the ISTEP for Indiana). I needed something for him to do this summer to keep his skills sharp for next year, and am hoping this will allow him to work independently and continue building skills. I would like to see more material like this that can be used to prepare and assist students to do better in class as well as the exams. We used this program even though our son was in second grade. In second grade students are given a state test. This year he is in third grade. We are thinking that the current third grade test we have is not sufficient because to get the high score, you need to know topics that our not really studied and reviewed in class as well as in the material supplied. We found that although he didn't recognize some of the terminology used in the test material for math, he did know how to solve the problems. For example, we realized that when the test asked for the mean (a term he did not know), it was the same as calculating the average. I was happy that he discovered this at home ahead of time. D. We believed he was going to take the FCAT for 2nd grade but it turned out to be the SAT9. The materials that we purchased from your company were a great help in preparing him for the test. The two tests are very similar but I think the FCAT for 2nd grade is harder than the SAT9, based on having his teacher look at the study book we purchased from your company, so our son was well prepared. He took the SAT9 test last week and my son said that he felt that he did well. Thank you for a good product. J. I think the best thing ever done for "education" was setting clearly measured tasks and standards with c standard measuring process. I was a professional soldier for 40 years and look at this as training. In military training there are no grades you must know very task to standard and we go over it until you do. Everyone counts on each person to now how to do their job. With your testing system I can train, test, retrain and retest until he can do the task. N. The math was not what I learned yet so, that didn't really help me study. But the science and language arts sections were pretty much, the things I was learning at the time. In order to get in the selective admissions public high school he wanted to attend in this area, he needed to score above 50% of students nationwide in Reading and Math on a standardized achievement test. After using the product daily for one month prior to the test, my son's scoring rank increased to 55% in reading/English and 65% in Mathematics. He was accepted to the high school he wanted to attend. My son particularly liked the way the practice tests gradually increased in difficulty.
